Wedding trends of 2019

December is one of the most popular months to get engaged. We know that our Instagram feeds will be full of people flashing their engagement rings on January 1st after a New Year or Christmas proposal.

So what can we expect the wedding trends of 2019 to be? In this blog we round up a few trends we are looking forward to seeing in 2019.

Page Boys and Flower Girls

Step aside besties. It is time for the little ones to come back into view. Having children as Flower Girls and Page boys was a pretty big thing in the 90's, I myself stepped up to the position a few times. Now it is back, after Pippa, Meghan and Eugenie all had a fleet of bridesmaids.

This trend may well bring a little less drama when dress shopping. Phew.

Gold wedding dresses

Gold wedding dresses are going to be all the rage in 2019. Champagne wedding dresses can bring a touch of glam to your day, without looking tacky.

Neon signs

According to Pinterest, searches for neon wedding signs are up by 281%. These modern signs are bold, bright and pretty cool. You can even use the neon signs throughout the whole wedding and even the buildup, by including the print in your invites and wedding stationery.

Spice up the evening buffet

See ya vol au vents and curling edge triangle sandwiches. We've moved on. This year brides are said to be picking different food for their evening buffet. Fish and chip vans, wood fired pizza, burritos, doughnut wall, mac n cheese. Pretty much anything but mini sausage rolls. Perfect for soaking up some of that champers too!

Smoke bombs

Forget sparkler shots, couples are thinking of wowing our guests in other ways in 2019. Smoke bomb photography is up by 436%. But that doesn't mean that fireworks won't come into play. We heard that bride and grooms are going to go bigger than ever with displays.
